Simon Mamo Real Estate
Simon Mamo Real Estate was one of the first estate agencies in Malta when founded in1987. Based in Victoria, Gozo, it was originally formed to concentrate on the lettings market but in 2014, building on its success, it moved into the buying and selling markets.
As the name suggests, Simon Mamo Real Estate was founded by Simon Mamo and the company is very much run as a professional family business. Simon remains on the board of directors to this day, along with brothers Hugo Mamo and Marcus Mamo who lead divisions in different locations. Jerome Mamo is the Head of Marketing, working very closely with all of Malta’s leading marketing agencies.
Today, Simon Mamo Real Estate is one of the top five real estate agencies in Malta but has burgeoning ambitions to hit the top three.
Simon Mamo Employees
As of 2020, Simon Mamo boasts fully trained and qualified staff of 70 employees, some of which are office admin, but most are estate agents with years’ worth of property experience. This might be one of the smaller total staff numbers among the ‘big five’ estate agents on the Maltese Islands, but Simon Mamo argues that the difference in their level of service can be found in the relationships that their staff are able to build with clients.
The Branch Network
Simon Mamo currently operates from seven locations dotted throughout Malta and Gozo. Head Office remains in Victoria where it was founded. The branches can be found in:
- Simon Mamo - Victoria (Gozo) branch

Each of these branches is positioned in prime high street locations, and there is a real commitment in the geography to ensure that all areas of the Islands are catered to from North to South.

The agency offers full coverage of the islands of Malta and Gozo. Generally, they can boast of over 25,000 listings at any time and they estimate that their sales agents can view 90% of what the entire Real Estate industry in Malta has to offer (this figure does not include lettings).

It is also important to note that each of these fees also carries the required 18% VAT charge.
Reasons to Choose Simon Mamo
The consensus seems to be that something that sets Simon Mamo apart from other rival real estate agents in Malta is the family-run, ‘special touch’ aspect of the service. This is a company that was started with an honest and hard-working ethic, and this has remained the same since 1987. Compared to some other, larger-scale estate agents in the region, you might find that you can strike up a more personal and beneficial relationship with your agent. A connection can sometimes be vital in finding the perfect property or making the perfect sale.
Simon Mamo take corporate responsibility seriously and as well as supporting organizations on the islands with various events and volunteer work, the company also work with a church community in Arequipa, Peru to improve the lives of impoverished people helping them access education and healthcare.
