Second most known real estate agency in Malta

Alliance Agency is one of the newest real estate agencies in Malta. It is an innovative company unlike other real estate agencies in the islands because instead of starting with one branch and expanding over time or the result of a major investment by a global concern, Alliance is exactly as its name suggests. It was formed by rebranding existing independent real estate companies/branches into a new network which was launched on July 7, 2020.

It was founded by Michael Bonello who is now CEO, together with his partners Angelo D’ Arrigo, Fabien Debono, Mario Gauci, Brian Magri, Dylan Micallef, Jay Jay Micallef, Paul Sammut, Francois Spagnol, Gordon Valentino, and Aidan Xuereb.

Alliance Agency Employees

At the launch, it was quoted that the company had more than 160 employees which includes real estate professionals as well as all support and admin staff. A press release announced in August 2020, a further 21 new employees had joined Alliance Agency.

The executive team includes corporate business adviser Ivan Bartolo, chief operations officer Gordon Attard, chief financial officer Leslie Xerri, chief people officer Frank Borg, and chief marketing officer Pierre Mizzi.

Overseeing the running of the branches are the top management team of Raphael Degabriele, Jeremy Borg Grech, James Mallia, Nicky Sammut, George Tabone, and Ana-Marija Zafirovska.

To embed company culture and commitment to excellent customer service, all staff attend the in-house Alliance Academy.

Alliance Agency Operations

The company is involved in all sectors of the real estate market in Malta and Gozo.

Residential properties for sale represent all the different styles of property in the islands including apartments, maisonettes, houses and luxury penthouses in urban and rural areas, as well as homes in new developments in Special Designated Areas. Commercial listings are as equally diverse with everything from plots of land to offices, retail premises, and hospitality venues.

Selected properties are given extra special attention. They are listed on the website with the highest quality photography and video, and also a 3D walkthrough with floor plan and doll house view. The listing is supported by tailor-made advertising on various media platforms. Selected properties are looked after by dedicated Alliance Selected Officers.

The residential lettings business is still being developed by Alliance Agency. At the time of writing, there are no residential lettings listed on the website, however, the range of commercial property to rent is extensive. There are serviced offices, unfurnished offices, retail units, catering establishments and restaurants, and guest houses and hotels.

Commission and Fees

It is assumed that Alliance Agency charges a 5% commission fee for properties sold under its name, as this is the standard in Malta. This will be reduced to 3.5% for a sole agency agreement.

Even though technically, Alliance Agency is very new, the company has an established presence in its branch network and is staffed by professionals with very solid backgrounds in real estate.
