Homes of Quality was founded in 2002. It is part of the larger Frank Salt Real Estate Group that has been in operation in various forms since its formation in 1969. The Frank Salt empire is currently one of the largest real estate agency powers in Malta, and Homes of Quality is a specialist that is focused on catering to the needs of a more selective and exclusive percentage of the customer market. A lot of pride is taken within the company in keeping very tight and close links between the different and individual projects.

Keeping it in the family, Homes of Quality is run and managed by Grahame Salt who is also a director the Frank Salt Group. Grahame Salt is considered a leading expert in real estate in Malta.

The Branch Network

As of 2020, Homes of Quality has just the one branch in Malta. It is located at 211, Tower Road in Sliema, a few doors away from the Frank Salt branch at number 201.

The Homes of Quality Operation

Unlike the Frank Salt website which lists a huge array of properties in Malta and Gozo (in fact, one of the largest databases on the island), Homes of Quality focuses on quality. Their listings include all the different types of homes found across the islands, but they will be of the highest quality. It will not necessarily be the price that makes them stand out but something that makes them exceptional compared to similar properties. The best properties are listed in the Platinum Collection.

Homes of Quality aim to offer a full end-to-end service and have developed relationships with agencies, insurers, and banks in Malta as well as removal companies and property maintenance companies in order to help clients deal with the paperwork, finance, and legal aspects of buying or selling property in Malta.

The website mentions lettings in numerous places but upon inspection, we couldn’t find any lettings listings, nor does it feature on any of the menus. They do, however, offer property management. The agency also undertakes aftersales services and turnkey projects.

HOQ Associates: To further enable Homes of Quality to advise and be of service to people overseas who have an interest in real estate in Malta, the agency has cultivated a wide network of foreign associates. From within the European Union, South Africa, and Russia, these associates are a local point of contact and can act as a go-between for potential customers and the agency.

Commission and Fees

The website does not list a “standard” commission – emphasis is on sole agency agreements. Two sole agency packages are offered: The Premium and Premium Plus. The Premium package is commission of 3.5% plus vat with full marketing support, and the Premium Plus package has the added benefits of 3D renderings, high-end videos, and a 24/7 single dedicated consultant.
